Description

Jacqui Poncelet was offered a Research Fellowship at the Henry Moore Institute in 1996-97 to investigate her interest in malleable material and its attendant forms in sculpture.

Having chosen work by four artists - Susanna Heron, Ewan Henderson, Laura Godfrey-Isaacs and Elizabeth Rosser - she asked staff in the Institute to choose pieces for their offices, and for the more public spaces in the library. She later brought the artists to Leeds for a week to talk about their work together, and taped and edited their discussions.

This interview with Penelope Curtis (Head of the Henry Moore Institute), conducted in July 1997, is an attempt to articulate some of the conclusions of the Fellowship.
