The Cauldron

Description

Seven young British artists - Christine Borland, Angela Bulloch, Dinos & Jake Chapman, Steven Pippin, Georgina Starr and Gillian Wearing - each engaged in higly specific ways of working outside of the studio, were invited to make new work at the Henry Moore Studio at Dean Clough, Halifax.

This catalogue looks at the resulting work they produced for The Cauldron (31 May - 4 August 1996). In his essay 'Winter 1996', Gregor Muir describes the working process of each artist, their preferred environment and closeness to particular places and people.
